Seegene introduces New STI products with superior performance

An international symposium STI & HIV 2019 World Congress took place July 14-17 in Vancouver, Canada. Seegene hosted a special off-site seminar, for only invited Key Opinion Leaders (KOL), to present and discuss on clinical evaluation results of the four STI-related products introduced at the symposium.
This biennial symposium represented the joint meeting of the International Society for Sexually Transmitted Diseases Research (ISSTDR) and the International Union against Sexually Transmitted Infections (IUSTI). This year's symposium was held successfully with a lot of attention from global leaders and specialists of STI from over 50 countries. It featured results of new studies on sexually transmitted infections (STIs) topics as well as advancements being made across the fields.
At the symposium, Seegene introduced three of new products, Allplex™ Vaginitis Screening Assay, CT/NG/MG/TV Assay, and MG & AziR Assay and best seller, STI/BV Panel Assays. Also Seegene held a special seminar to present new research findings and provide the opportunity to network with invited Canadian KOLs. It created a great opportunity to expand sales network within Canada.
The seminar, made up of 4 sections, presented clinical evaluation results and new application of Seegene STI products by world-famous scholar from MOH or university hospitals in Canada, UK and Italy. Under the theme of ‘Seegene’s novel chemistry for multiplexed PCR and SNP analysis in 3 clinical STI settings', attendees showed great interest and discussed about superior performance and convenient workflow.
Dr. Linda Hoang of BCCDC, Canada gave a presentation about rising issue, LGV management, and introduce Allplex™ Genital ulcer Assay as the only commercialized molecular diagnostic product for detecting LGV pathogen (Chlamydia serover L.). And Dr. Catherine Moore of university hospital of Wales, UK and Dr. Prenilla Naidu of university of Alberta, Canada presented accuracy and efficiency of Allplex™ MG & AziR Assay through the result of evaluation. These presentations raised great interest from all audiences because it is consistent with one of the main topics of the symposium for detecting M. genitalium and drug resistance. Dr. Clementina Cocuzza of university of Milano-Bicocca, Italy, presented new application of Anyplex™ II HPV28 detection and STI detection which used self-sampling device and newest urine sampling device, Urisponge (Copan). It showed the possibility of expansion of HPV and STI testing market.
STI & HIV 2019 World Congress, hosted from July 14th to 17th in Vancouver this year, is organized every two years, and the next symposium will take place in Amsterdam in July 2021.
